Master-Thesis
After extensive research and the exclusion of other options for the master thesis, the socially relevant topic "freedom" was chosen.
The nearly endless number of options in the choice of topic is the first indication of the justification for this research approach.
"Freedom as a luxury problem", a new term that is supposed to describe a psychological state of not being able to make a decision from a multitude of options.
This phenomenon can also be applied to the creative process, which is why I have figured the concept of freedom in the thesis as a white sheet of paper.
The origin of the creative process lies in the white emptiness, whether in paper form, digitally, on canvas or in three-dimensional space. This emptiness represents an infinite range of possibilities, which inhibits many artists and designers and overburdens them from the very beginning of the project.
My work describes the problem of boundless freedom in the creative field and shows possible solutions.
